This Autumn, RTÉ Kids is jam-packed full of brand new series on TV and streaming on Player - plus we have some much-loved favourites returning too.
First up, you don't want to miss Showkids, a brand-new star-studded comedy drama series, hitting screens this September.
Hang out with dreamer Sam, his parents Sally, Hal and brother Ollie as Sam tries to make it in the 'cutthroat' world of acting.
Set in the world of after-school drama classes, we find out is it Sam's time to shine or will he fall flat on his face. Starring Motherland's Philippa Dunne, Comedian Killian Sunderman, Fr Ted star Ardal O'Hanlon and introducing Flynn Grey as Sam.
Showkids is a series for the whole family, starting on Sunday, 14 September on RTÉ One.

From Naomi’s unexpected alien adventure in rural Ireland in Glitch, to Caspar’s clever challenge to school uniform rules in Boys Will Be Boys, Nina’s struggle between family expectations and her passion for drumming in Serbia’s Nina’s Rhythm, Polly’s test of loyalty and courage in Scotland in Two Peas in a Pod and Katerina’s magical escape into history in Cyprus with Ekaterini, the series celebrates the challenges and triumphs of growing up, encouraging kids to embrace who they are and find their place in the world.

In late September we launch the 5th year of the successful all-island online art competition This is Art! with a new theme to interpret, a wonderful array of prizes and some brand-new judges to impress. The competition will be open to people aged 18 and under who live on the island of Ireland, and we’ll be accepting entries until early 2026. Art teachers and budding artists of all abilities get ready!
