The IFTA Awards were announced this week and two RTÉjr short animations are nominated in the Short Film Animation category.
Massive congratulations to Jam Media and Pink Kong Studios who are up for the awards with Homebird and Dembaya respectively.
Both films were part of the Home series where we teamed up with six Irish animation studios to create six stories to evoke the feeling of home. You can see the series trailer up top!
Executive Producer Eimear O'Mahony said: "We are extremely proud of the series and the fantastic stories that came from the 6 animation studios. We are delighted that these two shorts, commissioned by RTÉjr, have been recognised by IFTA.
It is testament to how strong the Irish animation sector is at the moment, and we are delighted that RTÉjr can continue to play a part in its success."
