DJ For A Day: The Brierhill gang are bringing the beats!

This week we have enough DJs to fill an entire classroom...Say hello to 3rd Class from Brierhill National School in Galway.

Brierhill NS is located just on the fringe of Galway City, about 5km from the city centre. The original part of our school was built in 1952. We now have a beautiful, bright, modern school with great facilities including a football pitch, a running track and a playground. We have 240 children on our roll and a staff number of 32.

We have football, camogie, hurling, chess, basketball and volleyball teams in our school. We even do some golf lessons throughout the year!

Brierhill NS won the All-Ireland Primary School volleyball this year! We also won a debating final recently and our football, hurling and camogie teams did us proud in the Cumann na mBunscol competition. Well done to everyone involved.

We have a busy student council in the school. They organise interesting events for all the classes. Our two ASD units are a fantastic addition to our school also.
