This week's DJ for a Day is 11-year-old Ferdia! He is a sports and music mad boy from Co Wicklow.
Tune in to RTÉjr Radio this Saturday & Sunday at 4pm!
Ferdia plays Gaelic Football and Hurling in school. Soccer is his favourite sport and he plays for his local club U12s and U13s. C'mon Ashford Rovers! He is a massive Liverpool fan too and you can see his pic up top of him at Anfield - YNWA!
He enjoys swimming in the sea and the pool and he can sometimes be seen out for a run around Wicklow with his parents and his sister Réiltín.
Ferdia’s first language is Irish and he’s well known for his love of Gaeilge. Not surprisingly Ferdia attends a Gaelscoil and is currently in Rang a Cúig.
His favourite subjects are Maths, Geography and PE. Ferdia is an avid reader and he is currently enjoying the Murder Most Unladylike series. He is also a budding writer and one of his stories, [An Ninja Rúnda] was published in the book 'Ag Bun an Tuair Ceatha’.
Ferdia enjoys playing Piano, Bodhrán and Tin Whistle and also loves to sing and act. His playlist includes Rock, Pop and Dance and his tunes are bound to boost your energy levels as he moves from The Undertones to Dua Lipa and beyond.
