The great thing about DJ For A Day is we meet young people from all around the country, and this week 10-year-old Ophelia brings the noise all the way from Kilkenny!

Ophelia is originally from London but moved to Kilkenny just recently, allowing her to visit her Granny more often. She took to the county like a duck to water and has made firm friends. She'd particularly like to say hi to her friends Sadb, Mimi and Roisin.
She’s a keen artist and loves drawing above all else. She’ll get the pencils and paper out whenever she can and, if you’re lucky you might get one of her sketches as a gift! When she grows up she would like to be an animator, and she’s well placed in Kilkenny the home of Cartoon Saloon. (Shout out to Silly Sundays!) Also, like all good artists she has a favourite colour and in her case it’s red.
Ophelia loves swimming and is a member of the Sharks in Kilkenny. She also plays hockey with Kilkenny Hockey Club. And of course she loves music - the right tune can put you in a good mood, and also bring back happy memories! Which you can build just by listening to her show which is a super blend of pop, Disney hits and a top tune by Wet Leg. Go Ophelia!
