Here at RTÉjr Radio we know that good things come in small packages. And great things come out of relatively small schools. And this week's DJ For A Day from St Francis NS in Tipperary is a case in point!
Ms White and the 14 children from 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th class have put together an exciting mix of tunes and chat!
Tune in to RTÉjr Radio this Saturday (and every Saturday) at 4pm & listen back any time here!
Donohill, where they all live and go to school is a small village 8km outside Tipperary town. We’re glad their teachers took the time to help make this show as it’s a very busy place. The students are currenlty preparing for two big days - Communion on 6 May and Confirmation on 18 May.
St Francis is a small school, but it's very busy. The students love to get their hands dirty gardening in their polytunnel. They have a student council which means that, along with the teachers, everyone has a say in the fun things their school does - but the kids are fully in charge of the music!
On top of all their schoolwork the Tipp top crew play chess, build Lego, play hurling (#homeofhurling) and system. Plus, they flex their film-making chops by making animated movies. Cartoon Saloon beckons!
This gang are full of creativity as you will hear for yourself on Saturday and again on Sunday at 4pm on RTÉjr Radio.
