Another week and another bunch of amazing DJs, this time from Mullagh NS in beautiful Kilmurry Ibrickane Parish in West Clare.
The 2nd and 3rd Class took time out from their busy school schedule to put together a show full of great songs for everyone to enjoy.
Tune in to RTÉjr Radio this Saturday (and every Saturday) at 4pm & listen back any time here!
Mullgh NS is a co-educational school for children from Junior Infants to 6th class. They also have a Special Class for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
The school is steeped in GAA, with a visiting GAA coach who trains the children in basic football skills each week. Other sports include soccer, athletics, boxing, tae-kwondo, golf and sailing.
But Music is also a big interest in our school. The pupils from 1st to 6th classes learn the tin whistle and many also play second instruments including the banjo, concertina, piano and fiddle.
None were deployed in the recording for this show, but there’s time yet! They had great fun selecting, listening to and dancing to their ultimate playlist and hope you like them too! From Harry Styles to Survivor, they have the past 4 decades covered.
The students will return for a part 2 on Saturday, 15 April. There were just too many good DJs to capture in one show.
If you or your school want to get involved, don’t hesitate to have your parent or teacher get in touch with us via email - junior@rte.ie
