A DJ collective from Tipp is taking over the tunes on RTÉjr Radio on 25 March and 8 April. It's a special DJ For A Day double whammy with the 5th Class at Clerihan NS.

There are so many of them in their squad that that we've had to split the show in two. You’ll hear from some of the class on Saturday, 25 March and the rest on Saturday, 8 April. And the kids aren’t just DJs.
They’ve also written this article to tell us a bit about their town, their school and themselves. Over to Mr Ryan’s 5th class...
Clerihan is a lovely village outside Clonmel in the heart of South Tipperary. There are over 200 students in our chool and around 25 members of staff. We have lots of amazing songs from different music genres for you to sing along to.
We are a very busy 5th class with lots of activities going on in our school. We have our eco team working to help the environment. We are planting native and fruit trees in our community and our goal is to plant 250 trees in the coming weeks. We also spend time maintaining our school’s sensory garden.
We love playing chess in class, soccer and GAA on the school pitch and volleyball in the school hall.
We also enjoy using the school’s laptops and iPads to complete projects about lots of interesting topics.
We really enjoy buddy reading with younger classes where we help them read, learn Irish and we play games.

Meet the class!
In show one on the 25 March
- Grace likes playing sports and she plays for the local Gaelic football team. She is very chatty and loves to talk.
- Kasey likes to play sports. Her favourite subject in school is English. She likes to walk and play with her dog Jessy.
- Ben plays soccer and GAA for Clerihan. He supports Leicester City FC and he also likes watching rugby and F1 and playing playstation.
- Rachel likes to go swimming, do art and baking.
- Aidan really likes history and is creative. He likes croissants
- Alyssa is very sporty and creative. She is also very helpful and kind.
- Next up is Oscar. Oscar loves football, rugby and horse riding. He plays soccer for Cahir FC. He is also on the school eco team and enjoys weeding in the school’s sensory garden.
- Noah likes Lego and sketching he also likes maths and reading.
- Amelia enjoys playing chess and she loves flowers. Her favourite flowers are roses and sunflowers.
- Kate loves arts & crafts and reading. Her favourite authors are Rick Riordan, Cressida Cowell and J.K. Rowling.
- Maia loves to draw especially drawing feelings and famous events from the past. She enjoys different types of music. Maia is the second youngest in the class.
- Cara loves to play camogie. Her favourite subjects in school are maths and English. Her favourite animal is a dog.
- Evan is a farmer and likes horses. His favourite team is Waterford hurling team and he plays for Clerihan GAA.
- Dominykas favourite colour is green. He is interested in cars and engines and loves playing soccer
On 8 April
- Evan likes soccer and plays for Clerihan FC. He supports PSG and his favourite player is Kylian Mbappè.
- Colm likes playing golf and football. He loves to eat curry chips and his favourite subject is maths
- Ben likes to spend time with his friends Grace and Brody ( and many more!) He enjoys history in school, and has a strong passion for 1980s culture and Pokémon. His favourite singer is Michael Jackson. He has a pet dog named Bella and a cat named Cody, and has three hilarious brothers.
- Brody loves Pokémon, and loves to play chess. Some of his hobbies are basketball and soccer. He has a sister named Katie, who he has a lot of laughs with!
- Declan loves all types of sports but his favourite is hurling. His favourite player is Anthony Nash from Cork.
- Safia likes animals. Her favourite colour is green and her favourite subject is maths
- Lucy likes horse riding. She plays GAA for Clerihan.
- Cody is 10 years old he likes to play soccer and hurling. He supports MAN UTD. His favourite subject is maths and his favourite soccer players are Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford.
- Mateusz enjoys playing soccer and supports MANCHESTER UNITED.
- Sarah likes animals and hanging out with friends. She likes to play chess, football and does horse riding too.
- Jack is interested in katana’s (a type of sword) and technology. He is a very very talented artist and loves to draw. He is very tall and good at basketball
- Chloe is nearly 12. She enjoys art, history, science and playing with her friends and her pets. Her hobbies are jujitsu, GAA and swimming. She loves designing fashion clothes
- Killian supports Manchester City. He loves playing soccer and GAA with Clerihan
- Alex likes VR and gaming. His favourite VR game is gorilla tag. His favourite type of dog is a German shepherd because he thinks they are fluffy and cute.
- Emma Louise likes horses and has a dog named Luna
