Everyone loves a comeback kid and we're putting the kid in comeback with the return of a past favourite to DJ for a Day - here's Rosa!
Tune in to RTÉjr Radio this Saturday (and every Saturday) at 4pm or listen back any time here!
Rosa is 7 and is in 1st Class at St Columba’s in North Strand. She’s a huge music fan and just before Christmas she got to go to her first real life concert, Sigrid at the 3Arena. She loves nothing more than to dance and sing at the top of her voice with her big sister Sadhbh to Sigrid’s songs and there’s not a lyric she doesn’t know. It’s her dream to one day meet and interview her Norwegian hero.
Rosa is an amazing dancer and is trying to add ballet to her arsenal, attending classes on Saturday at the Dublin Ballet Academy in Drumcondra. She keeps her footwork up with soccer training at Marino AFC chasing goals with her friends Juliet and Lottie.
This year she joined Sea Scouts on Bull Island and the leaders of the Beaver troop at 5th Port Dollymount teach the kids all they can about the amazing biodiversity on the island, whilst making lots of time to get wet and muddy.
Rosa wants to be a Marine Biologist when she grows up but, failing that she could be a synth pop hero, having found a new love of making bleeps and bloops last year at a Synthesize-Her workshop.
Her music selection runs from indie to dance to Scandi-Pop and beyond. Tune in at 4pm on Saturday and she’ll have you bopping around the house.
We're always on the hunt for more DJ talent. If you're aged from 4-12 and would like to share some of your favourite songs with the nation, get in touch and we'll tell you how you can take part.
