It's a new year and we like to start things as we mean to go on- fresh, loud and energetic. Which is why 7-year-old Rebecca is this week’s DJ For A Day!

Rebecca lives in the village of Barna in the west of Ireland with her Mum, Dad and big sister Maria. She lives next door to her Granny and Grandad. Rebecca's big sister Maria is going to college next year and is an amazing dancer. No doubt this show will give her a perfect opportunity to exercise this.
Apart from her new DJ ambitions, Rebecca is passionate about art and is amazing for her age. . She likes to draw things in a sort of Fantasy/Anime style. Rebecca has 6 cousins - all girls!
She loves Roblox on her tablet... sometimes too much! And loves playing Minecraft too. She plays GAA football with CLG Bearna Óg and plays soccer with Bearna Na Forbacha Aontaithe.
She just started swimming lessons through her school in September and LOVES it! She is probably the only person in the country who Loves Mondays, because that's her swimming day.
She is a Ladybird (with the Irish Girl Guides) and loves to collect badges for achievements. Rebecca is an excellent reader and her favourites include Harry Potter and the books of Roald Dahl and David Walliams.
Rebecca loves animals and has a cat called Lola. She leaves out cat biscuits for two hedgehogs and two foxes that come to her Galway garden regularly.
She walks to school every morning with her Daddy, to Scoil Shéamais Naofa Bunscoil Bhearna, and he knows the route well. It’s the same school her Daddy and even Granddady went to. She is in Rang 1 and has the Amazing Besties and a super teacher Múinteoir Meadbh (and her assistant Siobhan). She is in a brilliant class where boys and girls all get on and play together.
Although this is her first stint in the radio hot seat, it’s unlikely to be her last as she’s a natural.
