This week's DJ For A Day is an actual knockout, well actually it should be a Judo throw. Meet DJ Priya, Irish Judo Association All-Ireland Champion!
Tune in every Saturday at 4pm and listen back any time here!
Priya is 10 and goes to St Vincent's GNS on William Street. Shout out to Ms Gaffney, Ms McGuire, all the girls in Room 17 and the Principal Ms O’Connor. Priya comes from a really sporty family with her older sister Emmerson a keen Thai Kickboxer and her older brother Alex is a total all rounder.
But she’s following in their footsteps, with the help of her family and particularly her dad David, who has been a boxing coach for many years. Priya trains with Portmarnock Judo Club and just 2 weeks ago won Gold in the under 36 kg Girl Category.

She swims to keep fit and also climbs the wall every week at Westwood Clontarf. She’s part of a great community of young climbers there, like friends Sadhbh and Sebastian, all helped by the brilliant staff at the climbing wall.
But Priya likes nothing more than listening to 80s music with her mam, as evidenced in her picks for today’s show! She’d like to say hi to her whole family, Auntie Tracey, Nanny Kelly and of course, special mention to Sadie her blue Staffordshire terrier.
We're always on the hunt for more DJ talent. If you're aged from 4-12 and would like to share some of your favourite songs with the nation, get in touch and we'll tell you how you can take part.
