DJ For A Day: It's all go in Galway with DJ Freya-Rose!

It's not every week we get to continue a legacy on DJ For A Day but this week, we can!

This Saturday at 4pm seven-year-old Freya-Rose takes control and she’s following in the footsteps of her much missed Grandad, Des, who worked in RTÉ for 30 years as a sound engineer - and she follows them in style.

Tune in at 4pm on Saturday or listen back any time here!

We’ll let our DJ introduce herself...

"Hello everyone, I’m Freya-Rose and I live in Connemara, County Galway. My hobbies are football and swimming and playing the harp. And not forgetting going to Penneys shopping with my mam and also going to the cinema with my cousins Bébhinn and Fiadh.

"My favourite football teams are Liverpool and Galway and Mayo GAA. I have two goldfish called Ben and Holly and my mam is always tricking me asking me to go and take them out for a walk. When I grow up I want to be a swimming instructor and a journalist on the radio and telly."

We’re delighted to be a part of her journey into broadcast stardom!

If you, or anyone you know, would like to take over the airwaves find out more here!
