In April, RTÉ launched 'The Signal', a 60-second film that brings to life the journey of that first broadcast, from the first crackle of radio through a century of change, connection and shared belonging.
Developed by RTÉ's in-house Creative Services and Marketing teams and produced by Dublin's Piranha Bar, the film is a distinctive blend of live action and animation. It features the voice of Irish actress Ruth Codd, with sound design by Folding Waves. The Signal rolls out across RTÉ's video and digital services throughout 2026, inspiring a new series of RTÉ 100 idents for RTÉ One.
