Ar an 7 Meitheamh, tiocfaidh an t-aos óg le chéile lena gcruthaitheacht a chleachtadh agus a cheiliúradh ag imeachtaí éagsúla ar fud na tíre.
Is iomaí imeacht spraíúil atá pleanáilte ó cheann ceann na tíre a spreagfaidh an chruthaitheacht. Seo roinnt de na himeachtaí Gaeilge a bheidh ar siúl agus níl anseo ach blaiseadh beag.
Píosa Spraoi le Cupán Focail(s)! / Have Fun with a Cup of Focals! with Áine Gallagher sa Leabharlann in Mullach Íde
"Is fearr Gaeilge briste ná Béarla cliste" – seo é an sprioc don cheardlann seo le hÁine Gallagher, aka "the queen of offbeat". Is ealaíontóir í Áine agus tá sí i gconaí ag déanamh rudaí nua agus cruthaitheach chun Gaeilge a chur chun cinn agus daoine a spreagadh chun an teanga a labhairt. Sa cheardlann dátheangach seo, 'sé aidhm píosa spraoi a fháil agus Gaeilge a chleachtadh gan bhrú. Má cheapann tú nach bhfuil do chuid Gaeilge ró-mhaith, ach ba mhaith leat í a fheabhsú, seo í an cheardlann dhuit.
In this fun, family, pop-up event, children will play games, to practice their cúpla focal and turn them into a simple story. ‘Queen of Offbeat', Áine Gallagher, uses her ‘cup of focals’ (cup full of words), to encourage people to give Irish a go, even if it’s not perfect. She lives by the saying, "is fearr Gaeilge briste ná Béarla cliste" (broken Irish is better than clever English)

Bó Finne: The White Cow Puppet Theatre Workshop
Two-Day Eco-Friendly Puppet-Making & Storytelling Workshop, i mBearlá agus i nGaeilge, le Pól Penrose agus Leanne McLaughlin.
Inspired by the Irish Folktale of Inis Bó Finne, Bringing Legends to Life with Recycled & Found materials. This immersive workshop invites children to explore creativity, culture and self-expression, through the art of puppet theatre. Inspired by the legend of the White Cow of Inis Bó Finne, students will work together to build a cardboard theatre and craft all the characters from this rich Donegal folklore.
Throughout the workshop, participants will develop puppetry skills, designing and decorating their own puppets, while learning about storytelling, movement and performance. Guided by experienced artists, they will work on scripting their own adaptation of the White Cow story, bringing it to life with voice, gesture and imagination.
This project is an opportunity for children to connect with culture and heritage, learn the value of collaboration, and develop confidence in their creative abilities. By engaging in hands-on making and performance, they will experience the power of folklore as a living tradition, not just a story from the past.
