Oliver Callan sa Ghaeltacht do Seachtain na Gaeilge

This Monday morning Oliver Callan on RTÉ Radio 1 broadcast his show from RnaG Casla in Connemara as part of RTÉ's Seachtain na Gaeilge. Máire Eilís Ní Fhlatharta (Caitríona), Fionnuala Ní Fhlatharta (Berni) and Josie Ó Cualáin (Micheál) will be in studio.

All three actors have been in Ros na Rún since the very first episode, broadcasting on TG4 since 1996.

Beidh duine de na seinnteoirí feadóige is fearr sa tír, Mary Bergin, ag casadh cheoil agus ag caint le Oliver faoin athnuachan i gceol tíre na hÉireann agus faoina máistreachta feadóige féin.

Meeting one other for the first time is Maureen Folan. Maureen spoke to Oliver on the phone during Storm Éowyn when her home outside of Carna was badly damaged. Now, live in studio, Maureen will share an update on her life since Storm Éowyn and speak of the longer lasting effects of the wind.

Air Scenting Search and Rescue Dogs play a pivotal role when searching for missing people, and on Monday a member of the Galway/Connemara SARDA team and their dog will explain the work they do when a search and rescue operation is underway.

Ag caint dó roimh dul siar go Conamara, dúirt Oliver Callan, "We’re really looking forward to going West. We’ve talked a lot about the Irish language on the show, so it makes perfect sense for us to go to the Connemara Gaeltacht for Seachtain na Gaeilge. Táim ag tnúth leis!"

Along with all of that, one listener will get a chance to win a walk on part in Ros na Rún which will be filmed in August.

Tune in to Oliver Callon on RTÉ Radio 1 on Monday morning from 9am to find out how to enter.
