Gordon goes to the Gaeltacht in search of fabulous food

TV chef Gordon Ramsay has been spotted in several of the Gaeltacht's top spots, where he has been filming for his next television series, as well as trying some of the best of what the country's culinary creators have to offer.

Gordon recently announced the next two seasons of his show Next Level Chef are to be filmed in Ireland and it seems he has gone into the West for his first foray into what Ireland has to offer.

Known for its excellence in Irish produce, Galway and na hOileáin Árann seemed to be Gordon's first stops on the tour. Spotted in An Teach Dóite, Maam Cross for a 99, meeting with founder of Micil Poitín, Pádraic Ó Griallais in Conamara and island hopping to Inis Oírr, where he poured a very impressive pint of plain, Mr. Ramsey managed to get a lot done in a short space of time. We're looking forward to what comes next in his foodie tour of Ireland!

If we were giving our tips to Mr. Ramsay and his gang, we'd suggest a trip to the award-winning Pota Café in Baile na hAbhann, for the perfect crab salad followed by the most decadent roulade.

Tá súil againn táirgí Gaeltachta agus gnóanna Gaeltachta a fheiceáil ar an gclár teilifíse amach anseo, ó tháirgí fréamhaithe sa chultúr go nuálaíocht sa chócaireacht agus súil i gcónaí ar inbhuanaitheacht.
