Based in Dublin initially, the Rainbow Gaels intend to travel around the country when it is safe to do so. Luke says that whilst there are rugby teams like the Emerald Warriors, there was no GAA club catering towards those in the LGBTQ+ community.
Luke mentions that some young people are uncomfortable with the 'locker room talk' which pervades sport and hopes The Rainbow Gaels will create a safe space who feel marginalised.
