International Women's Day couldn't possibly showcase the breadth of female artists creating in Ireland. Mar sin, tá seachtar ban roghnaithe againn atá ag cruthú i nGaeilge nó i gceantar Gaeltachta.
1. Inni-K- singer and composer.
Amhránaí de bhunadh Chill Dara í Eithne Ní Chatháin, nó Inni-K, mar a thugann sí uirthi féin agus í i mbun amhrán. Her latest album, The Hare & The Line has just been released and features a mix of songs in English and in Irish and even some lilting, known as portaireacht béil in Irish.

2. Áine Ní Chíobháin- Visual artist.
Originally from Cork but currently living and working on the Dingle peninsula, Ní Chíobháin says 'art is a compulsion to connect with my surroundings, and create a sense of place'.

3. Ciara Ní É- Poet
File agus bunaitheoir Reic, the multilingual spoken word poetry night is known for her quick-witted, moving poetry.
4. Fiadh Durham- textile designer and handweaver
Fiadh’s designs are informed by the intriguing colour and pattern combinations of the area; she regularly undertakes explorations and photographic expeditions around the inspirational landscapes of the West Coast of Ireland
5. Tara Breathnach- Actor
Gaillimheach í Tara a bhfuil cáil bainte amach aici dá rólanna in A Nightingale Falling (2014), Na cloigne (2010) and as Molly in an adaptation of Joyce’s final soliloquy in Ulysses.
6. Sinéad Ní Uallacháin- Artist
Tá aithne againn ar Shinéad Ní Uallacháin mar chraoltóir ar RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta ach did you know she's also a beautiful illustrator? Originally from Baile an Éanaigh in Corca Dhuibhne, she has been living in Dublin for over 10 years.
7. Zoe Conway- Musician- Composer
On her website, Zoe describes herself as an 'Irish fiddle player and composer', of course, she is both but has recently branched into folk singing as well.
