The Miracle Club stars Laura Linney, Maggie Smith, Kathy Bates and Agnes O'Casey as four women in 1960s' Dublin who head to Lourdes. Director Thaddeus O'Sullivan sets the scene.
Set in 1967, Laura Linney plays Chrissy, a native of the fictitious Dublin suburb of Ballygar, who emigrated to the USA decades before and under a cloud.
She returns for her mother's funeral, but ends up on a pilgrimage to Lourdes in the company of former BFF Eileen Dunne (Kathy Bates), long-grieving mother Lily Fox (Maggie Smith) and young Dolly Hennessy (Agnes O'Casey).
The quartet all have varying reasons for making the trip . . .
