The 2011 series is proving to be just as feisty as the others

We’re nearly half way through I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! and we’ve already seen Mark Wright try out some cheesy chat-up lines, Fatima Whitbread has broken down into a blubbing mess, Anthony Cotton has shown his true colours and poor old Pat Sharp has ended his career revival after only a number of days due to a fight over a Teddy. Now with the prospect of Peter Andre joining them in their drama-ridden camp, can things get any worse for them? Well by the looks of tonight’s immunity trial, their nightmares aren’t over yet.

While Mark Wright was the talk of the camp last week, enduring all the trials and getting his face a lot of camera time, he obviously didn’t factor in a surprise campmate by the name of Pat Sharp coming in to steal his limelight. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) for him, Sharp last night managed to command nearly all the airtime with his arrogant manner and blatant disregard for his fellow campmates. Yes, we all know he is simply playing the game, but if he’s looking to revive his 1980s' career, then maybe he’s going about it the wrong way. Although, without him (the pantomime baddie) the show would be failing in every way, and maybe he’s the only thing people are tuning in to see.

Not only are this year’s Bushtucker trials a bit of a disappointment (where are the Paul Burrell type tasks that have us in fits of laughter?) but the campmates aren’t exactly the most exciting bunch. They’ve had their moments. Sinitta proved to be a gem during the tasks, but it all got a bit much during the live trial. Mark has had his time as this year’s target from the public, until Pat came along and manipulated the voters into hating him, Anthony has been having countless hissy fits and let’s not forget Lorraine and the quite creepy love she has for her teddy bear. Yet there are still the ones that fly under the radar. Has anyone heard Dougie speak yet? I’m beginning to think he’s packed his bags and left and they just haven’t bothered to let us know.

Pat Sharp causing a stir in camp

It’s no secret that the jungle is sending a few of them a bit cuckoo. The fact that they’re fighting over a teddy bear just proves that point. While the whole thing mainly centred on Lorraine, Tedward and Pat, the camp couldn’t let things lie and they all got involved. You really see how backstabbing people really are on programmes like this. No sooner had Pat got his back turned than Crissy started nattering about him. She was feeling left out, but she also made some pretty awkward statement aloud, that are really putting a downer on camp.

Last night, it was the blue team’s turn to go into the sin bin and I’m sure we’ll hear a lot of moaning from Emily and Mark on tonight’s show. The pair really upped the cringe-metre at the weekend when they were flirting for the camera.

Tonight, we get to see Sinitta freak out again, horray! The two teams will battle it out for immunity by entering into a bed that only nightmares are made of. Whichever team lies down for the longest amount of time wins the task. We’d bet Lorraine’s Tedward that Sinitta will take one look at it and run back to camp in a fit of screams. So in that case, it’ll definitely be between Anthony and Stefanie next week as the public start voting off the celebs one-by-one.

Meanwhile, Willie, Jessica-Jane and Dougie have some work to do. If they don’t start talking soon, they’ll be the first people voted off the show, and we can’t say we’d blame the public.
