Coronation Street

Carla is having a crisis
Carla is having a crisis

It was all kicking off on Corrie last night, as Carla not only inadvertently fired her whole work force (doh!) but had a mini-breakdown over the rather horrific Frank saga.

Stumbling around in a daze, Hayley was left to man the factory with Carla out of action. That woman should really get a raise. With a workforce that consists of a profusely moany Cherylee, an inquisitive Sean and a highly-strung Julie, she really had no option but to tell them all to get out of her factory while she dealt with her problems.

But with evil Frank and his equally unpredictable mother on the loose who knows how this is going to end. Will underworld be driven to the ground by another underwear factory, or can Michelle bring it back from the brink?

While that is yet to be seen, Michelle and Ciaran made a somewhat low-key entrance back into Weatherfield last night, in the back of a good old black cab. With her hair looking as shiny and healthy as ever, Michelle made a point of stating that the duo were simply passing through on their way to Ireland. We already know that Keith Duffy has left the show, but it’s yet to be seen what Kym Marsh’s character Michelle will do to stir things up. A Carla, Michelle duo would be a force to reckon with.

Meanwhile, over at chez Chesney and d Katy, Katy’s bump isn’t the only thing growing by the day, as Chesney’s anger seems to becoming a bit of a problem. Please don’t let him turn into an angered killer now. With John dead and Fiz finally on her way home from jail, Chesney rightly got angered after overhearing Rosie talking about newspaper deals over her kidnap. One heated discussion later and the cracks in Rosie’s life are beginning to come clear. Rosie would have never turned down the opportunity to appear in a paper a few months ago. What's happening to her?

And with Rosie still trying to figure out what she wants to do with her life, he sister has already decided to settle down. Sophie and Sian went out ring shopping yesterday after convincing Sally to let them have a party for Sophie’s birthday. But we all know the real reason they want the party is to announce their engagement. We can’t wait to see the look on Sally’s face when it happens.

Finally Faye is being a right little brat about Anna and Eoghan’s relationship. Instead of jumping for joy when she saw them in an embrace, Faye got into a strop and adopted her bad attitude. Somehow we can’t see the relationship lasting long with her around, especially now that Anna has officially adopted her.

So with a lot of interesting prospects for the storylines on the cobbles, could they finally be getting back on track. We certainly hope so.
