Walford in Bloom is rocked when protesters gather and the Mayor has to be whisked off. Soon afterwards, a gas main ruptures. Martin is worried when he can't find Stacey and the Mitchells are also thrown into a state of panic when they discover that Phil was close to the site of the blast. Bex is also involved in the chaos as she rushes to Mr Pryce's aid when she sees he is hurt.
Meanwhile, Joyce finds it difficult to keep Ted calm as the explosion brings back horrible memories for him. Ted whips out his gun for protection, but he ends up pulling the trigger when one of the local residents comes in to check on him. Who has been shot?
Elsewhere, Linda admits what she has been keeping secret from Mick while chatting to Jack.
Later in the week, the Taylors are distraught when Bernadette suffers a miscarriage.
