Martin is planning another job with Tubbs. His mind is fully occupied with the task ahead, making him rude to Sonia and Bex in his rush to leave. Bex blames herself for her dad's behaviour, but Sonia tries to reassure her.Later, after the job is over, disaster strikes for Martin and Tubbs.
Drop the ball
The 'Ball and Change' winners dinner ends in disaster due to Linda's drinking. Linda has some harsh words for Ruby and also berates Mick for pouring her wine down the sink. Linda feels ashamed when Ollie overhears the argument and ends up drinking alone in the Square gardens. Later, Lee returns – as organised by Mick as a surprise.
I've got a text!
Sonia accuses Martin of being selfish when she catches him trying to flee. When Dot later gets a text which reveals someone has tried to withdraw thousands from her bank account, Dotty accuses Martin of being responsible. As Martin's concerns grow, he promises Bex that he won't be leaving after all.
Gray hatches a plan
Gray is curious when Karen tells him how stressed Chantelle was about the vow renewal. When he sees for himself how unenthusiastic Chantelle is, Gray hatches a plan and surprises her with a makeshift vow renewal at home.
All hell breaks loose
The Mitchells gather together for a party that Kathy has arranged to welcome Louise and Keanu back to Walford. Unfortunately, all hell is about to break loose on Albert Square as Phil has discovered the full truth.

It's New Year's Eve in Walford and Karen decides to throw a party. Ruby has also arranged an '80s extravaganza at the club. Attending Karen's celebration, Honey is not in the mood for partying and when Billy tries to check that she's okay, she leans in to kiss him. At the club, Max is struggling with Ruby's approach to their relationship. He tries to make her jealous by pretending he has been invited to another party by a woman.
Honey reveals that Adam has been in touch about new tenants – the Panesar brothers. The news shocks Ash, but Vinny insists that the brothers just want to be part of her life. Ash ends up ordering her brothers to leave and storms off.
