This week on Emmerdale, after Lydia's encounter last week with her long lost sister Beth, Mandy is determined to have Beth explain herself.
She barges into Beth's house where she finds Lydia's mum, Agatha, who Lydia has been told was dead.
As she asks Mandy to take her to see Lydia, Mandy worries whether she's done the right thing.
At the Dingles, Agatha admits she has a lot of explaining to do, and Lydia is nervous as she braces herself to face her past.
Agatha shares information about Lydia's father, leaving Lydia shell-shocked.
Elsewhere, Leyla struggles to take it in when David reveals Maya is being released and worries over whether she might try to contact Jacob.
David and Leyla decide to tell Jacob about Maya's release and he seems surprisingly composed, but is he hiding his true feelings?
Things take a turn when Jacob leaves all off a sudden, leaving David and Leyla worried sick that he has gone to try and meet Maya.
However Jacob has gone to meet Leanna. She later tells Bernice she slept with Jacob.
When Liam discovers this happened, he confronts Jacob and punches him. Everyone is in shock when Liam is arrested under suspicion of assault.
