This week on Fair City, Orla shocks Wayne when she tells him she has asked Sash to be the surrogate.
Orla brings Junior along to meet up with Sash but just as Sash is going to tell Orla her decision, Junior collapses.
Later, Sash tells Orla she won’t be surrogate but to everyone’s relief they get good news from the surrogacy agency.
Their relief is short-lived when the surrogate pulls out. Orla begs Sash to reconsider, telling Sash she can keep the baby if she agrees to be their surrogate. Sash is taken aback, what will she decide?
Wayne and Orla become distant with one another over the surrogate baby. Dolores reminds Wayne that she is prepared to give any financial help necessary to speed up the surrogacy process.
Sash is furious when Wayne offers her a blank cheque in return for the baby. Orla is stunned when Sash tells her about the offer and warns Wayne not to talk to Sash again without her.
Elsewhere, Melanie thinks Paul is hiding his true feelings towards Niamh and gives him a piece of her mind. Paul plans to go see Niamh with Ruth, but Sean advises him not to as Niamh is filing for divorce.
Meanwhile, Hughie is oblivious as he allows a burglar into the Pod office and Jackie walks in on the burglar rifling through a lock box. Jackie fears for her life as she’s held at knife point.
Jackie phones Pete, who runs to her aid but asks why she didn’t ring Hughie first. Pete supports Jackie as she is questioned by Deegan. He feels uneasy when Jackie lies about his presence to Hughie.
She is too emotionally distraught to allay Hughie’s feelings of guilt and doesn’t let Hughie take care of her after the terrifying ordeal. A gift from Pete adds to her anxiety and she tries to talk to Pete about her feelings for him.
