This week on Fair City, Doug is thrown when Erica says she won’t date Darragh if it upsets him.
Doug hides his hurt and gives Darragh and Erica his blessing, but he’s later heartbroken when he sees them kiss.
Elsewhere, Carol is about to tell Hayley the truth about her and Robbie when they are interrupted by a crash in Sharon’s kitchen.
Later, Carol tries to make peace with Hayley, but Hayley remains dubious, while Robbie is suspicious to see Carol and Sharon spending time together.
Melanie hides the fact that she slept in the laundrette from Hughie and Mondo. She asks Jane to put in a good word for her with her landlord. Mondo offers Melanie his support as she worries about Alex.
Melanie’s struggles continue when she is offered Jane’s flat if she can pay two month’s rent upfront but she doesn’t have the cash. Ray suspects there’s more going on with Melanie than Mondo lets on.
Heather and Ellie arrive back in Carrigstown and Ellie stuns Bob and Farrah by telling them she doesn’t want to go back to Brazil. Bob tries to hide Ellie’s unhappiness from Renee.
Renee suspects something is up with Ellie. Farrah warns Bob it’s too late to avoid Renee interfering with Heather and Ellie.
Ellie says she wants to stay in Ireland to get a good education. Heather clings to Bob as she feels pressure from Renee and Farrah to let Ellie stay.
Farrah is unimpressed when Bob suggests Heather also stay in Ireland. Renee is annoyed when Bob admits they’re not up to rearing a teenager.
