Colby and Chelsea are snuggling in the Pier Apartment, having just decided to give their relationship another try. Colby then receives a call-out to an incident at the beach – a car has narrowly missed running into John. In his statement, John explains that he doesn't know the driver's name but she is Dean Thompson's mum.
Elsewhere, Tori and Robbo have finalised all the legal paperwork in preparation for starting IVF and they have the fertility drugs ready to go – they'll start on her next menstrual cycle. Word about the baby plans are getting out around the Bay, so Irene congratulates Tori.
Meanwhile, Maggie is helping Brody with the new menu. She tells Ben it's tiring. Maggie is only a few days away from the 100-days marker with her cancer treatment, but she discovers an unexplained bruise, which is a symptom they've been told to watch out for. Maggie is in denial – she just wants to think about how far she's come in response to treatment.
Later in the week, an aimless Ryder informs Leah that he's decided not to sit his exams and she's shocked. Remembering her promise to Roo that she'd look out for him while she and Alf are away, Leah tells Ryder he should do his exams because Roo would want him to. Feeling neglected, Ryder thinks there's no point.
Also, Maggie finally gets the call from the hospital.
