This week on Emmerdale, Charity Dingle is feeling the strain as DI Bails' trial approaches.
Seeing his biological mother go through so much torment, Ryan gets in touch with Bails and asks to meet up with him.
Ryan asks Bails to plead guilty, and Bails shows his true colours. Incensed by his behaviour, Ryan attacks him with a plank of wood. Bails warns him he's made a terrible mistake.
When Cain tells Charity that Ryan has been arrested for assault she is thrown.

The day of the trial arrives and Charity is more scared than ever that Bails will walk away scot-free for his crimes.
As she takes to the stand to give her testimony, she is buoyed to see Ryan and Noah in attendance.
When Bails takes to the stand he twists the truth and the lie he tells is backed up by his wife.
Later at home, Charity breaks down, convinced he is going to get away with it all.
Elsewhere, Marlon's relationship with Jessie isn't going very well. He is frustrated when she insists they're going to have to take things slowly now her son Ellis is on the scene.

Robert isn't coping well in the wake of Rebecca's disappearance and the news that the police are looking for a body at Home Farm.
After tirelessly searching for Rebecca, it all catches up on Robert and he collapses onto the ground. Aaron panics and asks his sister to call for a doctor.
