Elsewhere, Sam reveals to Lydia that he helped his late wife Alice - who had terminal cancer - to die. His son Samson is furious when he hears about his dad's part in his mother's death. Lydia tries to intervene on Sam's behalf and Samson pushes her down the stairs.
When Lydia winds up A&E, a doctor notices a mole on her leg that could be cancerous. She decides not to tell Sam and Samson about the worrying discovery.
Joe Tate's right-hand man Graham unravels as the anniversary of his wife's death rolls around. He wracked with guilt as he caused the drink-driving accident in which she died while pregnant with their unborn daughter. He hits the bottle hard and lays into Joe in the Woolpack.
Meanwhile, Pete is suspicious of his brother Ross when his dark mood inexplicably turns sunny and decides to investigate. Pete soon discovers what's going on when he finds Ross in Butler's Bard surrounded by a fleet of stolen cars.
However, the police are on to Ross and are lurking outside ready to pounce...
And Brenda hits Bob where it hurts when she tells her ex-husband she wants to take ownership of the cafe. Since he walked out on their relationship with another woman, their friend Laurel, will Brenda get what she wants?
