Rainie warns Max that they need to up their game in order to appear more convincing as a 'couple'. She arranges a meal for her, Max, Jack and Mel, but Max feels like she's going overboard and isn't impressed.
Later, when Jack and Mel head upstairs to give them some space, Rainie shocks Max by kissing him.
Elsewhere, Donna is shocked when she finds out that Martin and Stacey have given Max a reference for custody of baby Abi. After rebuking Martin for his involvement, Donna turns on Rainie and questions whether she's really fit to look after a child.
Meanwhile, Shakil's funeral day has arrived and Kush tells Jay that the original plans for the service will be going ahead, despite Carmel's decision yesterday.
Later in the week, while everyone else heads off to the church, Denise tries to track down Carmel. Can she convince her to attend?
