When the intruder comes to he reveals his name is Matty and that he knows Cain. Cain is confused when he finds out the document Matty was trying to steal was Hannah's birth certificate. Who is Matty and what does he want?
Elsewhere, Daz tells Dan, Kerry and Bernice about the ransom call he's received. As he tries to pull the money together to pay the ransom, he is caught out...
Amelia is still missing and now Daz has vanished. Dan is furious that the search for his daughter seems to have gone cold and insists DS Benton goes after his brother.

Meanwhile, David and his estranged wife Tracy end up becoming amorous with one another, but does this mean they are going to reunite for real?
Later in the week, Cain learns he was right to have been worrying about the recent news that Simon was back in the area.
While Cain is working on a car in the garage, Simon sneaks in and viciously knocks him over the head.
