Ebony is in the motel, studying her targets as photos of Colby, Justin, Tori, Willow and Dean lay strewn across the bed. Hazel arrives and accuses Ebony of losing focus on their plan to make Colby pay for killing Boyd. Ebony insists that her plan will work, but Hazel is getting frustrated with waiting for her to act, insisting that Colby should be their priority for the revenge plan. Ebony disagrees, as she thinks Justin, Willow and Dean should pay too.
Elsewhere, Olivia and Jasmine come across a distressed Ebony in her crashed car. Jasmine is quick on the scene, assessing Ebony's injuries. Colby arrives and evaluates the crash while Ebony is complaining of a neck injury. He asks Ebony what happened as she explains that her brakes failed and she'd just had her car serviced at Summer Bay Auto.
Meanwhile, The Palmers are excited and nervous at the prospect of meeting their new foster kid, with everyone hopeful that things will work out. Raffy is determined to do what she can to make the new arrival feel welcome, but things get off to a rocky start when he proves to be cagey and determined to keep to himself.
Later in the week, John seeks out Ty to speak with him after his argument with Raffy. Given his past, Ty admits a feeling of uncertainty about settling into the family, believing he'll be shunted away again before long.
