There's a huge week in store for Coronation Street viewers as the Connors are overwhelmed with grief after discovering Aidan has taken his own life.
At Johnny's leaving do at the Rovers Aidan is feeling pensive. Baby Susie is being passed around the pub, but when Sally goes to hand Susie to Aidan, Toyah panics and swoops in. Aidan and Toyah's eyes meet and Aidan takes a closer look at Susie, is he piecing it all together?
Aidan later goes to the cottage to talk to Eva and apologises for how he spoke to her when he found out she was pregnant.
When Aidan brings up Susie, Eva bursts into tears and tell him she's sorry. When he leaves the cottage, Aidan leaves her engagement ring behind.
Eva thinks it's a sign that Aidan wants to try again. But when Aidan doesn't turn up at work, Johnny goes to his flat to get him and discovers a note. He forces his way into the bathroom and realises that Aidan has taken his own life. The Connors are overwhelmed with grief.
David is floored with Maria tells him that Aidan has killed himself and becomes aware of his own suicidal thoughts. As Imran drives him to court, David suddenly jumps out of the car and runs off. Shona finds him sitting by himself and he finally reveals that was raped by Josh.
Shona suggests that if he won't go to the police then he should see a counsellor, but David is adamant that non one can find out about the attack.
Shona and David return to the Platts hand in hand and Gail is relieved as she was worried sick about him. However the police then come to arrest David for failing to appear in court.
Later, Shona confronts Josh, telling him she knows he's a rapist.
