Alya Nazir is not happy living under the same roof as Kate, so Kate suggests she should move back into number 6 and let Rana move into the flat.
Alya is fuming and heads off to work, where she is humiliated to find out that Summer spotted a miscalculation in her figures that could have cost Aidan thousands of pounds.
Gary goes to see David and tells him he thinks he's heading for a breakdown and that it's probably a delayed reaction to Kylie's death. David goes along with it to appease him, relieved Gary hasn't figured out the truth. Shona tells Maria that things have gone downhill since David fell out with Josh so Maria decides to try to talk to him.
Maria Connor arrives at David's house and is shocked to find Emma there in a state of undress! Later, David gives Emma a set of keys and asks her to move in with him.
David introduces Gail, Max and Lily to his new girlfriend and Bethany is shocked to realise Emma was in the year above her in school. When Shona finds out David asked Emma to move in with him she's devastated.
Elsewhere, Tracy evicts Billy as he is three months in arrears with the rent. She tells him she doesn't want a drug user living in the flat. Billy is humiliated as Summer is packing her things at Eileen's, ready to move back in.
And Aidan finds Summer's school notebook at the factory and discovers she has filled it with notes about him. He confides in Johnny that he's worried she might have a crush on him.
