Off-camera, actor Nigel Mercier, who plays Yates, told RTÉ Entertainment: "Yates is coming at it from the point of view that he considers that everybody is guilty unless they prove otherwise with an alibi or circumstances or whatever.
"So then, obviously, some people are 'more guilty' than others! Once you start lying, you've got to have a very good memory!
"Somebody is going to trip up and all Yates wants to do is to be there at that moment..."
