Damien annoys Laura by encouraging her to date Lisa. Hayley pushes Laura to forget about Damien and date Lisa. Damien learns of Laura’s date with Lisa and asks her to put in a good word for him. Laura’s date gets awkward when Lisa makes a joke about Damien.
Elsewhere, Melanie is irked by Mondo’s over familiarity with Alex. Melanie resents Mondo giving the wrong impression in front of Jake. Melanie sets Mondo straight about their relationship when he wants her advice about Kerri-Ann. Melanie cancels her date with Jake and admits asking him to get Mondo off her case. Mondo realises he needs to move on from Melanie. Jake witnesses Alex do the right thing and stand up to Jude.
Meanwhile, Jake suggests to Alex that he get better friends. Mondo clears the air with Melanie about Alex and gives Jake an idea. Jake supports Alex when he bars Jude from Brewzers. Melanie warms to Jake as he teaches Alex to make coffee. Melanie buys Jake a drink to thank him and he is disappointed when she doesn’t join him.
Later in the week, Melanie is annoyed when Mondo snubs Alex. Melanie hits Mondo with some home truths. Mondo worries to Jake about the type of person he is. Melanie hides her disappointment that Jake only met her to discuss giving Alex a part time job.
Also, Bob and Dolores set up a surprise for Jim. Bob cajoles Jim in to going for lunch. Jim is taken aback to be introduced to Chantal. Bob and Renee are delighted when Jim thanks them for arranging a massage with Chantal. Bob and Renee agree that Jim is acting nicer. Jim, in secret, informs a pleased Dr Oakley that his plan is in place.
