It's Christmas Day on Albert Square and Stacey's missing phone is finally returned to her. Max thinks he's finally making progress when Abi agrees to join him for Christmas with the Fowlers. However, with Stacey charging up her phone, it's clearly a ticking timebomb which will expose the last of Max's secrets. As the full truth about Max's bad behaviour comes to light, his downfall will destroy the Branning family forever.
Elsewhere, Willmott-Brown makes another visit to Kathy and tries once again to manipulate her to his way of thinking. Taking matters into her own hands, Kathy warns Willmott-Brown never to come near her again – but will she ever be rid of him?
Meanwhile, Linda is desperate to find another pub that she and Mick can manage, but Mick is distracted by thoughts of the job that Aidan is doing. Could Mick be tempted back to the dark side?
Later in the week, it's New Year's Eve on Albert Square and Linda is focusing on her last ever party at the Queen Vic, but Mick is still plagued by doubts over whether he made the right decision by pulling out of Aidan's job.
Also, Kush tries to break the news to Denise that Carmel and Shakil are coming to stay with them as they have nowhere else to go.
