Jason's horrified to find Michael lying motionless at the bottom of the stairs. Feigning concern, Phelan phones an ambulance. But when Michael spots Phelan at his bedside, he reveals how Andy overheard Phelan flogging Jason's tools. But Phelan explains he didn't steal them but instead had them polished. Will Eileen, Jason and Andy swallow his lies?
Elsewhere, when Lauren and her gang confront Bethany on the street, Bethany follows Kylie's advice and does her best to stand her ground. Spotting the bullies, Luke wades in and tells them to get lost. Luke leads a tearful Bethany to the salon, where the Platts listen in horror as she admits that she is being bullied and that's why she's been avoiding school.

Later in the week, Kylie gets a shock when she arrives back at the salon to find Gemma there. Tearful Gemma pleads for a chance to turn her life around, but David wants her out. Gemma makes to leave, but bumps into a pregnant Sarah and the cat's out of the bag.

Also, Billy quizzes Julia and Richie on their doorstep. They claim that Marta has returned to Poland with the stolen jewellery, but they're just happy to see the back of her. Eva tells Billy that she thinks she saw Marta through a window and wants to investigate. Billy tries to persuade her to back down.
