Feeling a little woozy, Maddy assures Roo it’s just the heat and finishes cleaning up the park. Running into Oscar, Maddy invites him out to celebrate. He’s always been there for her, even when she’s been busy screwing up. Thrilled by the idea she might finally be returning his affections, Oscar agrees to accompany her to the movie night - and despite telling Jett they’re just friends, it’s clear there’s something between them. But the night takes a dark turn when Maddy collapses and falls unconscious.
Concerned VJ is struggling in the wake of his ordeal, Zac tries getting him to open up. VJ insists he’s fine, but he when he suggests they grab some dinner before the movie night, Zac feels on the verge of a breakthrough. However when Leah joins them for pizzas, VJ clams up again. Reluctantly revealing to Zac he’s not sleeping, VJ admits he’s guilt-ridden about Nate – he feels that he is to blame for what happened in the bush. Nate assures him that’s not the case, and promises him they’ll get through this, together.
