This week in Summer Bay, Denny forces Hannah to go to Nate and Sophie’s barbecue, while Evelyn sees Oscar and Maddy return from a shopping spree.
Brax promises Ricky that he will stay with her after hearing that she’s pregnant. However, Sergeant Mike Emerson soon turns up to ask Brax where he’s been since he left the police station, informing him that Jake Pirovic is dead. After Emerson leaves, the Braxton household gather to discuss Jake’s death, as Brax wants to know who killed Jake.
Elsewhere, the realities of living with the Braxton’s come to a head for Phoebe as she comes to terms with the fact that they are likely harbouring a murderer. When Andy asks Kyle if he can speak to him alone, Phoebe becomes even more suspicious.
Meanwhile, Denny forces Hannah to go to Nate and Sophie’s barbecue after they bump into Nate in the Diner. When Hannah congratulates Nate on becoming a new home owner, Denny jumps in and tells Nate she’ll come to the barbecue as Hannah’s date.
Later in the week, Evelyn sees Oscar and Maddy return from a shopping spree. She is surprised to see that Maddy has bought Oscar some clothes and asks her how she can afford it. Maddy snaps at her – she has a job. Evelyn worries for her brother and wonders if Maddy is trying to change Oscar, and Denny agrees that Maddy’s behaviour is strange.
