Police cars and ambulances begin to arrive at the crash site of Jake's car. Andy tries to convince Brax that it's too late to kill Jake now. As Jake is taken to hospital in an ambulance, the police grill Brax and Andy on what happened. Senior Sergeant Emerson arrives and realises it is highly suspicious that Brax would stumble upon Jake in the middle of the bush.
Elsewhere, Nate arrives at the hospital to find Brax lurking outside his patient's room. Brax explains that Jake killed Casey. Nate and Hannah save Jake's life, and Brax watches on as they wheel Jake into the theatre. Seeing that the window of opportunity for revenge is disappearing by the second, Brax launches at Jake in a last ditch attempt to kill him. He is quickly stopped by the police and placed under arrest.
Meanwhile, John tries to hide to avoid seeing Marilyn before the wedding, convinced that it would be bad luck. In doing so, he badly pulls a muscle in his back. Later, as John enjoys winning the party games at his bucks party, he pulls his back even worse and Spencer is forced to call an ambulance. John can't believe it - he's supposed to be getting married tomorrow!
Later in the week, when Maddy fails to do her errands, Roo is furious and tells her that if she wants to be treated like an adult, she needs to start acting like one. Is this the wake-up call Maddy needs?
Also, upset about Leah and Zac's new relationship, VJ reverts to a non-communicative, angry adolescent.
