In Summer Bay this week Brax and Zac hatch a plan to rescue the twins with the help of Kyle and Heath but Oscar isn't going to leave without Evelyn.
Leah pleads with Zac to not illegally rescue them as there has to be another way but Zac knows their 16th birthday is fast approaching and that something bad happens in the cult when you turn 16 so he has no time to think of an alternative plan.
With Kyle causing a distraction, Heath and Brax rescue Oscar and an unwilling Evelyn but when they are confronted by Ethan and Murray, the cult leader, Zac and Brax have to fight their way out while Heath tries to keep a hold on Evelyn. Will their rescue mission be a success? With the police around at Leah's there's sure to be some trouble.
Chris decides it's time to try and work his charm on Irene so he can have Indi over as they have nowhere to spend time together in private. While trying to get on Irene's good side he ends up enjoying his time with her and greatly respecting her.
Indi isn't impressed that he has forgotten the reason he was spending time with her in the first place and Irene is getting a bit uncomfortable with her new best friend as he's giving her too much attention. She ends up welcoming Indi to her home to get some space away from Chris herself.
Much to Roo's displeasure, Maddy is falling for Josh. On a date they talk about how she was brave to leave her home to be with Spencer and Josh admits he could never be that brave. They get on well but their date is cut short when a police officer takes Josh in for questioning.
Brax tries to make Casey have a more positive attitude but he is completely dejected. Brax is at a loss about how to get through to him and Ricky suggests he take a new approach by stepping away from the situation. She thinks he needs a break, especially after the rescue mission. Brax takes her advice and goes away for a few days to de-stress.
Ricky takes Brax's place with Casey and tries to get him to go to physio, he isn't pleased with this development and lashes out at Ricky. When Casey tells April to kick Ricky out of the hospital she decides to try and get Tamara to see if she can get through to him. Dex is the only one who manages to get through to him by telling him about his own experiences.
Meanwhile Tamara and Kyle try to navigate their post-breakup working relationship and with her now helping Casey, there is speculation from Dex and April that it might lead to a rekindled romance.
Winston wants one last chance with Marilyn and when Jett and John see them having breakfast together, neither is best pleased. Jett spies on them while a jealous and paranoid John confronts Marilyn about her intentions with Winston which annoys Marilyn.
Marilyn makes it clear to Winston that she isn't interested in him and he is devastated by her rejection and plans to leave the Bay for good but Harvey tries to make him stay positive and Marilyn is upset that he would leave because of her.
