Tanya and Max are fighting the same battle this week with Lauren going further and further off the rails. Even with a ban on being served, she still manages to find herself in trouble, even getting arrested as she cannot control her growing addiction to alcohol. All the while, Max is putting up with an aloof Kirsty who is walking on eggshells, hoping no one finds out her secret.
For Kim and Ray it’s the end of their lives together in Walford as they both prepare to leave. At the leaving do, Kim suddenly gets cold feet and a sharp dose of reality as she begins to take off her rose-coloured glasses and realise that Ray knows nothing about the real her. As he drives off alone out of her life, Kim is devastated.
The stale air between Ava and Sam is still lingering, as the pair argue with one another over the demise of their former relationship. Both let slip their true feelings, which may have survived the test of time, and it’s not long before the two end up in an embrace that could turn into something serious. Ava knows it’s a bad idea, but simply cannot resist.
The tension between Shirley and Sharon has been ongoing, and this week it doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. Phil is caught in the middle as the pair continue to try to one-up and antagonise each other. When Sharon sees her opportunity and tries to plant a kiss on Phil, Phil sees right through her ploy and calls her out for being pathetic. Though towards the end of the week, two unlikely pals get together for a drink and realise they have a lot more in common than they thought...
