This week on the cobbles Tyrone cheats on Kirsty with Fiz, while Kirsty's violence gets even worse.
Tyrone wants his 30th birthday to go by unoticed and is pleased when Kirsty arranges a night out with the girls from work while he stays in with Ruby. However, Kirsty is really planning a surprise party for Tyrone in the pub. Fiz feels sorry for Tyrone thinking that he's staying in on his own, so she promises to call round while Kirsty is out.
Elsewhere, Peter, Leanne and Simon go ice-skating. It's almost like old times and it's clear that Peter and Leanne are enjoying themselves, something which Simon captures on camera. Will Leanne let her heart rule her head?
Meanwhile, Tyrone is anxious to discover that Kirsty has spent the night on the sofa and has destroyed his birthday cards in a fit of rage. With her fury mounting, Kirsty confronts him with the offending card from Fiz, but Tyrone does his best to convince Kirsty that it means nothing to him.
Later in the week, as Kirsty's violence reaches new levels Fiz convinces Tyrone to let her take him to hospital. As Tyrone lies to the doctor, telling him that he got his injuries at work, he admits to Fiz that he doesn't know how he's going to make it through to the wedding. Fiz promises that he's no longer in it alone. However, as Tina spots the pair in a tight embrace, Tyrone begins to panic about Kirsty finding out about his affair.
