Edna worries about the cost of insurance
Edna worries about the cost of insurance

This week at Home Farm Katie questions her future with Declan, while Rachel organises an emergency christening.

Declan brings Katie home from hospital for a few hours, promising that he will do whatever it takes to make things right between them. Katie is thrown but reluctantly agrees when Declan breaks it to her that he has asked Megan to stay so he can ease up on his workload, but it means Robbie is coming back too.

Elsewhere, Edna feels guilty as her credit card arrives. She then agrees to volunteer for the church homeless campaign, but feels awkward when Jude and Ashley put notes into the pot of money and she only offers small change. Later at the vets, Edna is mortified when she tries to pay using her credit card but there's a problem, though it's only because she hasn't activated it.

Meanwhile, Priya has been helping out David in the shop, but tells him that it's not going to work. David is concerned further when Priya later tells him that they need to talk. He is speechless when he realises that she's dumping him as she can't bear to break up a family. David mopes in the shop, but is taken aback when Pollard suggests that he should get on with his life as he has already done so much for Jacob.

Later in the week, Rachel offers to help with the nativity play. However, everyone is stunned when Rachel suddenly holds her stomach in pain, terrified. Rachel is rushed to hospital struggling through contractions, and Charity feels guilty that Rachel could be losing the baby. When Rachel is finally allowed to see her baby, she is tearful as she sees him in the incubator and wills him to live. Rachel decides that she is having an emergency christening for the baby and wants Sam to be godfather.
