Paul and Priya are at loggerheads over the demise of their affair, while Sonya and Toadie try to talk some sense into a reluctant Connor, but he may just be the one who gets them to come to their senses before the week is out.
Gutted that his affair with Priya is over, Paul is downbeat until Andrew unwittingly convinces him not to give up. Trying to woo her back is unsettling Priya, who is convinced he only wants her back because now he can’t have her. He cares too much to let her go and lays his heart on the line to keep her in his arms. When she refuses again, his heartbreak turns to anger and if he can’t have her, no one will.
With Paul planning to blackmail Priya by exposing their affair if it doesn’t continue, a desparate Priya deletes all the evidence against her but soon figures out that Paul is only pulling this stunt to cover up his inner hurt. They have a heart to heart and she urges him to realise he doesn’t love her, it’s the idea of her he loves. They would never make a relationship work, she advises, and gives him a parting kiss. But unbeknownst to her, Rani is watching. After all this, will Priya be caught out and will Paul have the last laugh?
Elsewhere, Toadie and Connor are skiving off and having a day of fun until Sonya returns and pulls them up on their behavior. They agree to one last day of fun, but Toadie has an inkling about the real reason Connor is reluctant to leave – he’s avoiding the wedding of his daughter’s birth mother. Pushed for the truth, Connor reveals that he is avoiding the awkward situation and wants to keep his distance.
Turning to Sonya for advice, Toadie then puts it into action by encouraging Connor to grow up and face adult life, it’s never going to always be rosy. Feeling a little frustrated, Toadie really sends a clear message to Connor to man up, but pushes him too far and Connor turns on him and they begin to bicker about family life. Realising there is some truth in what Connor has to say, Toadie decides to man up and plan a romantic dinner for Sonya, complete with a special proposal, which is followed by a resounding yes!
