Chris, still scared of telling his father the truth, lies to Tash about inviting Aidan to his family birthday celebration. But Aidan finds out anyway. He appears at the celebration, but won’t stay to let Chris explain.
When Chris’s dad gives him a surprising present, Chris finally admits the truth to him: Aidan is his boyfriend, but he thinks he might have ruined things between them. Far from being disappointed (or worse), George gives Chris the love and support he needs, and tells him to go after Aidan.
But when Chris finds Aidan, it’s too late: Aidan won’t be lied to again. He believes Chris isn’t ready for a relationship. It’s over. And Chris arrives home, to find the surprise party that Aidan was planning for him.
