This week it’s exam time for the Sixth Formers' exams at Hollyoaks Community College. While Sinead and George have been revising others have a more laidback attitude, like Bart. Jen says that Bart should think about applying to Art College – he even manages to impress Diane and things are looking up for him and Sinead. However, Bart’s high is short-lived when he arrives home to find his whole family being arrested.
Meanwhile, Callum is thinking about studying in the USA, but he is refusing to ask his Dad for money. He also has to deal with Martha’s increasingly demanding problems. With the McQueens keeping Bart’s name from the police, they must now try to figure out where he is. Meanwhile, a terrified Bart is forced to tell Sinead the truth.
As the Sixth Formers sit their General Studies exam George is confident but Callum has Martha’s unpaid bills on his mind. His worst fears are confirmed when he finds more unpaid bills and comes home to find Jack demanding overdue rent from Martha. After assuring Cheryl his past is behind him after what happened to Joel, Brendan threatens Bart and reminds him how much he owes for the weed. As a result, Bart resorts to selling the Savage’s campervan, but when an astute Jacqui corners her cousin, she agrees to help him ‘disappear’. Bart and Sinead go on the run together.
As Callum is struggling to manage his exams his Mother's selfish demands are the last thing he needs. Elsewhere, it is still a sore point that Darren beat Nancy on a quiz. However, Nancy and Darren sort out their differences just in time to celebrate some good news.
Later in the week, Callum wakes up to find out that Martha made it home in the early hours of the morning and got to know her new boss a lot better but he is hopeful that he may be able to leave for the US soon. As Nancy becomes increasingly worried about her pregnancy, Bart does the right thing for Sinead, but can he say the same for his family?
