It all comes to a head between Yusef, Zainab and Masood this week, while Pat is quickly running out of time and Phil may have just let his past catch up with him
Zainab and Masood meet and try to decipher flight details and boarding passes, they kiss tenderly but are unaware they have been seen by Jane. Meanwhile, Christian has returned to the square for Christmas, there is still a clear spark between him and Syed but he is so disappointed with Syed and Amira's plan to go to Pakistan.
Jane has told Yusef what she has seen and Masood warns Zainab that he knows. She tries to escape the house but runs right into Yusef. Who is looking after Kamil? Zainab sees Yusef drive off and escapes quietly again and is relieved to see Kamil in Masood's arms, however just as she relaxes, Yusef drags her from behind, whispering "I will never let you go".
Elsewhere, Phil surprises Shirley by bringing the Mitchells together for Christmas. Everyone's differences are solved but Shirley may find out who Phil's stalker is. On Christmas morning, Kim, Denise and Patrick open their presents. In the black box is a car with a USB key.
What's on the key shocks everyone, incriminating evidence that Phil killed Kevin. Denise smashes up Phil's car and tries to warn Shirley, who barks right back at her. She realises Shirley must have known the whole time.
Janine is not invited to the family Christmas celebration and makes it hard on Pat who owes her money by gloating with presents for all the kids. Pat is growing weaker and discharges herself without knowing her results, but Patrick brings her back to hospital to find out the full detail, just as Ricky arrives to hear it as well.
