Debbie's baby suggestion hits Cameron hard

Gennie is really confused about her feelings for Nikhil after everything that happened last week. While Nicky thinks that she’s avoiding him, Nikhil is hopeful when she accepts his apology and he tells her to take the afternoon off. Gennie tries to get Bob’s advice as to what she should do about Nicky but he insists that she make up her own mind. However he observes the two of them and is convinced that he is more into the relationship than she is.

Later on, Gennie pretends to be annoyed when she gets a text from Nikhil asking her to return to work but secretly she’s delighted. He has a bottle of wine at the ready before telling her how he feels for her and they share a passionate kiss before Jai walks in on them.

Gennie talks to Katie about what would be the best way to break it off with Nicky but there is no good way. Later in the pub, just as she’s about to break the news to him, Nicky tells her that he’s getting her a puppy and Gennie breaks down. She tells him that they can’t be together but he tries to warn her off Nikhil saying that he’s a twisted liar. When Brenda sees Gennie and Nikhil together later that night, she tries to tell her daughter the same thing.

The gossip over Marlon’s mysterious married woman goes into overdrive, leaving Laurel freaking out. Plus Ashley is more than just suspicious and as the days unfold, he becomes convinced that something is going on between his wife and Marlon. He wants to get to the truth but becomes sidetracked by Laurel’s plans for them to renew their wedding vows.

He eventually gets the courage to ask Laurel up front whether she has slept with Marlon and she admits that she has feelings for him. When she hesitates to answer his question of whether she loves him, Ashley storms out of the house. He returns in the early hours of the morning but tells Laurel to get to bed and that they will continue to pretend everything is okay for the sake of the children. Marlon tries to talk to Ashley to take the full blame for the situation, as he can’t bear to see Laurel suffer but Ashley won’t listen. Laurel won’t listen to him either, insisting that she loves Ashley and she wants their relationship to work.

Meanwhile, Andy and Debbie’s plan to have another baby together goes down like a lead balloon with Alicia and Cameron – but what did they expect?

Jai just presumes she’s protecting Cain but she says she has a plan.
